The mission of the Idaho Community Foundation is 'To Enrich the Quality of Life Throughout Idaho.' Grants are awarded through the Regional Grant Cycle for a wide range of organizations and for a wide range of projects consistent with that mission. Grant areas include: Arts and Culture, Conservation/Environment, Education, Emergency Services, Health, Libraries, Public Projects, Recreation, and Social Services.

The Montana Department of Health and Human services provides multiple resources, including grant funding.

Montana Healthy Communities hosts an annual Montana Healthy Communities conference, provides a webinar series based upon Montana Healthy Communities issues, and provides mini grant opportunities.

NorthWestern Energy provides grant and funding opportunites for projects concerning education, health & human services, civic & community, culture & the arts, and resource conservation.

The Steele-Reese Foundation is a charitable trust committed to supporting rural communities and the nonprofit organizations that serve them in Idaho, Montana, and Appalachian Kentucky. The Foundation supports nonprofit organizations working in the areas of rural education; health; human/social services; the arts and humanities; and land, water, and wildlife conservation and historic preservation.

Town Pump owns and operates over 200 gas station/convenience store, casino, hotel and car wash properties throughout Montana and Idaho. Town Pump reinvests a portion of net income back into Montana communities by helping others through the Town Pump Charitable Foundation. The grants must be used for charitable purposes and primarily for the benefit of Montana citizens.
