The Casper Area Economic Development Alliance (CAEDA) serves as the principal catalyst for economic development through leading, encouraging and facilitating diversification and expansion of Casper's and Natrona County's economy. Services provided by CAEDA include community marketing, point of contact, helping businesses grow, reporing & events, and partnership creation.

The EPA sponsors a smart growth resources page dedicated to small towns and rural community growth strategies.The page provides links to technical Assistance Programs, technical assistance reports, and webinars.

Rawlins DDA adopted the 'Main Street' approach and became a certified Main Street community in as part of the statewide Wyoming Main Street family. Main Street is a national program of the National Trust for Historic preservation that focuses on revitalizing a downtown economic district through the four-point approach: Design, Organization, Marketing and Retail Strategies (MARS)(known as Promotion nationally), and Economic Restructuring.

Smart Growth America advocates for people who want to live and work in great neighborhoods. Smart Growth America is the only national organization dedicated to researching, advocating for and leading coalitions to bring smart growth practices to more communities nationwide. Smart Growth America provides many difference resources including community toolkits, programs, webinars, and trainings related to Smart Growth design.
