U.S. Department of Transportation: Formula Grants for Rural Areas
The Formula Grants for Rural Areas program provides capital, planning, and operating assistance to states to support public transportation in rural areas with populations of less than 50,000, where many residents often rely on public transit to reach their destinations. The program also provides funding for state and national training and technical assistance through the Rural Transportation Assistance Program. Eligible activities include planning, capital, operating, job access and reverse commute projects, and the acquisition of public transportation services.

National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health (NOSORH)
The National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health (NOSORH) enhances the capacity of State Offices of Rural Health by supporting the development of state and community rural health leaders; creating and facilitating state, regional and national partnerships that foster information sharing and spur rural health-related programs/activities; and enhancing access to quality healthcare services in rural communities. The NLC also provides grants and funding opportunities for NLC member municipalities.
